Beryl Leo Marx

Beryl Leo Marx 99 went to his eternal resting place on Saturday,December 20 , 2014 in Denison, Texas. Beryl was born January 7, 1915 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Jacob and Hazel (Baldridge) Marx. He was raised in Spooner, Wisconsin, and graduated from Spooner High School. Beryl received an award for never being tardy nor missing a day of school. Beryl graduated from college and married Hazel Marie Quick on July 2, 1939, in Pine City, Minnesota. They were married over 75 years when Hazel passed away on April 25, 2014. They had four children in Wisconsin and moved to Fairmont, Minnesota. Beryl worked at Stokely Van Camp. They moved to Welcome, Minnesota, and then moved to Granada, Minnesota, where they farmed for 30 years. Beryl retired in 1979 and they moved to Onalaska, Texas. Beryl was active in the Onalaska Methodist Church and the association where they lived. Beryl & Hazel moved to Bradford at Brookside of Livingston, Texas, September of 2010 and moved to Denison, Texas, in 2012.
Beryl is survived by his four children, Sandie (Bruce) Lohse of Rochester, Minnesota; Bob (Janelle) Marx of Ft. Meyers, Florida; Bruce ( Sherry) Marx of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Sherrie (Russ) Marx of Watertown, Wisconsin. Beryl is also survived by nieces and nephews. Beryl was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel, his parents, two brothers and one sister. JOHNSON-MOORE FUNERAL HOME “Families Serving Families”.
