Dorothy Louise Jones

Dorothy Louise Jones, 87 of Pottsboro went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 with her loving family by her side.
She was born on May 3, 1927 in Frankston, TX. to William M and Ollie Magret Weaver. She attended school in Quitman, TX. and then married the love of her life, William M. Jones in Dallas, on June 25, 1945. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2004. Mrs. Jones was a loving housewife and mother. She is a life-long faithful and devoted Christian to her Lord, serving in The Church of Christ faith. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren whom adored her dearly. She was a talented artist that enjoyed doing oil paintings, she was especially fond of her cherished china paintings.
Survivors include her son, Leslie Jones and wife, Christy of Cartwright, OK; daughters, “Jackie” Kugler of Pottsboro and Janet Phelps of Plano; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Milo Weaver of Quitman, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; one grandson; and 7 sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Denison Pottsboro Chapel with Gregg Knight officiating. Family visitation will be held Friday night from 7 to 8 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Denison Pottsboro Chapel. Burial will be at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 2:15 PM.
