Roy Perry Wilson

Roy P. Wilson, Jr., 57, died at the Dallas VA hospital on Thursday, September 22, 2011.

Graveside memorial services with military honors are 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 at Oakwood Cemetery in Denison.

Roy was born on April 21, 1954 at Perrin AFB in Denison the son of Roy P. and Mary Faye Hardway Wilson, Sr. Mr. Wilson was a Baptist, worked as a mechanic, was a member of Paralyzed Veterans of America and the American Legion. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1974 until 1977 serving in Vietnam. The last ship he served on was the USS Shenandoah.

He is survived by his mother, Martha Torres of Hutchinson, Kansas; brother, James Robert Steele; sisters, Nondas Steele of Hutchinson, Kansas and Charlote Samuels of Duncan, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Candy Pedigo; grandparents; and father, Roy P. Wilson, Sr.
