Timothy ‘Tim’ Michael Carr, a long-time Dallas native, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, in Plano, Texas, at the age of 91. He was born on September 29, 1934 to Joseph and Alice (Kinney) Carr in Dallas. Tim grew up in Dallas with a strong sense of determination and a tireless work ethic that stayed with him throughout his life. While working at Ashburn’s Ice Cream, Tim met the love of his life, Darlene. The two married on February 14, 1953, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, faith, and devotion to family. A proud Marine Corps veteran, Tim served his country with honor before pursuing higher education. He attended Jesuit High School and was a member of the inaugural graduating class at the University of Dallas. Tim went on to attend SMU Law School, where he began the path toward what became a distinguished lifelong career in family and criminal defense law. He established his own law practice, earning respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike for his integrity, honesty, and steadfast loyalty—values he held deeply. Tim was a faithful member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dallas for more than 50 years. He cherished his church community and could often be found each morning sharing fellowship and breakfast with his dear friends. He is survived by his children, Dawn Carr of Coffee City, Texas, Lisa Trieger and husband, David of Rowlett, Texas, Kyle Carr and wife, Isabel of Plano, Texas, and Shawn Carr of Plano, Texas; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving family members and church friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Darlene Carr; two sons, Timothy Carr Jr. and Brad Carr; his parents; and numerous siblings. Tim Carr will be remembered as a man of principle—honest, loyal, and devoted to his faith and family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the example he set for those who knew and loved him. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9643 Ferndale Road, Dallas, Texas 75238. Memorial contributions may be made in Tim’s honor to the catholic charity closest to your heart.
