Nancy Margaret Walczak, born July 4, 1939, in Buffalo, New York, to Howard F. and Helen (Linkowski) Leckey, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025, in Denison, Texas. Nancy grew up in New York and graduated from West Seneca West Senior High School in West Seneca, New York. She spent most of her working life as a dedicated factory employee at Westinghouse, where she was known for her strong work ethic and reliability. Outside of work, she generously volunteered her time at a local nursing home for many years, brightening the days of countless residents with her kindness and humor. Nancy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—Walleye Club fishing, visiting with friends, spending time with her grandchildren, and, as her family lovingly recalls, keeping her daughter on her toes. These were the moments that brought her joy and defined her warm and spirited personality. She loved a good party, a sweet treat, and any chance to go shopping. Our dogs adored her as the beloved “treat dealer,” and she truly had a heart of gold. She is survived by her daughter, Gail Augustine, and life partner Rick Perkins; stepsons, Peter Walczak and wife Luann, and Kyle Walczak; grandchildren, Courtney Chicoli and husband John, Allison Umlor and husband Kenny, Samantha Walczak and Brendon Walczak, Steven Jaeckle, Nick Walczak, Chris Walczak, and Dan Walczak; great grandchildren, Thomas Walczak and Josephine Jaeckle; and her brother, Richard Leckey, and wife Rosemary. Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy Walczak; her brother, Tom Leckey, and his wife Maddie; and her parents. In accordance with her wishes, Nancy will return to her home state of New York at a later date.
