Crystal Ann Turnage, 68, of Denison, Texas, passed away on April 17, 2026. She was born on August 24, 1957, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Robert Gilbert and Betty Ann (Hoit) Williams.
Crystal lived a life marked by curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning. She was an eternal student who embraced new challenges at every stage of life—even returning to school at the age of 60 to become a welder. Throughout her life, she worked as a chef and baker, sharing her talents and passion for food with those around her. Crystal especially loved entertaining, bringing people together with warmth, laughter, and good meals.
She is survived by her four children: Billy Caughie of Wilburton, Oklahoma; LeeAnn Guiette of Kansas; Russell Turnage of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Robert Allen Turnage of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, her mother, Betty Williams, and two brothers, Robert Williams and David Williams.
Crystal was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ruffis “Rudy” Turnage; her father, Robert Williams; and her brother, Rick Williams.
Family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 401 W Woodard Street, Denison, Texas 75020.

I’m heartbroken. Crystal was one of my dearest friends at work and it won’t be the same without her. She was the sweetest, no-nonsense spunky gal that could make me laugh even when I didn’t want to. I was always so intrigued by her tales and ambitions to turn her shipping container into a beautiful home and retire! She was remarkable and there will be a huge hole where she once filled my life. -
