Born in:
Ada, Oklahoma
Resided in:
Denison, Texas
Keelan Clark, age 30, of Denison, Texas passed away on May 14, 2026. Keelan was born on June 9, 1995, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Joseph Clark and Kimberly (Green) Byler. He made his profession of faith in Jesus Christ on October 24, 2005.
Keelan grew up in Durant, Oklahoma and attended Durant and Silo schools, graduating from Silo High School in 2013. Growing up he enjoyed playing baseball and being outside. He was active in the church youth group and attended both Falls Creek and Super Summer. He worked at summer baseball camp, earning his trips to Florida with the Silo Baseball team. Even then his leadership and compassion for others was evident. Whenever he had an opportunity to volunteer or work with others, he took it.
He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 2013-2021. It was an experience that helped further shape his character, work ethic, and dedication to others.
Keelan married the love of his life, Samantha (Flanagan) Clark on October 17, 2015. They enjoyed many adventures together. Samantha cheered him on through his pursuit of running, biking, and hiking. He was proud to have already completed the Dallas Marathon twice and was training for IronMan. His love of baseball, especially the New York Yankees, took them to many baseball games. He had discovered hockey and was becoming an avid fan that loved going with Samantha and friends whenever he had the chance.
Keelan was endlessly curious and eager to learn. The random facts and trivia he could spout knew no end. His curiosity touched all areas of his life especially food, music, and travel. He was the absolute definition of a foodie; always trying new foods, recipes, and restaurants. If you spent much time with him you ate well, whether it was in his kitchen or at some hole-in-wall dive he randomly found. He and Samantha had specifically routed trips to visit places he saw on Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives.
Keelan had a gadget or app for almost everything. His kitchen was full of gadgets, sometimes in multiples. This included his high tech grill, fridge, and even the lights. He was always sending someone his latest app discovery.
Keelan was also known for his enjoyment of a good game night. His laughter filled the room when he was winning and even in the rare instance he was losing. Any opportunity he had to spend time with family and friends was not wasted.
As a brother, Keelan was a role model and a hero. He was both protector and instigator. His life and character makes his siblings want to be better people. His goofy faces and voices were always cheering someone up. His antics were a catalyst for Uno being banned for several years at family game night. His sometimes relentlessly teasing was also the reason for creating a safe-word to end the shenanigans.
When Keelan discovered a passion for aviation, he pursued it relentlessly earning his pilot’s license and building a career in aviation. He was not only an instructor, but a leader and mentor.
His coworkers and students can attest that his mentorship went far beyond the job skills. He was a role model whose heart for serving others was evident in all he did, including his career path into medical flight operations.
Keelan was known for his kindness, humor, dedication, and will be remembered for the love he had for his family and friends. He was a man of integrity, and although he never sought the spotlight, he always seemed to command the room. When he walked in, the room felt brighter and happier. When he spoke, he punctuated his words with that signature chuckle.
Those who knew Keelan best will remember him as someone who lived with purpose, courage, and a deep commitment to helping others.
Keelan is survived by his wife, Samantha Clark and their beloved good boy, Titan; his father, Joe Clark and wife Angela; his mother, Kim (Green) Byler and husband Jason; his siblings, Kamdyn Clark, Kendal Clark, Keegan Byler, Emma Collins, Jordan Cook; his cherished in-laws Kent and Becka Flanagan; and grandparents Ken and Betty (Harjo) Morris, Kent Sr and Susan Flanagan, Ed and Sharon Green, along with other family members and friends who loved him dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with Keegan’s family and friends. Praying God’s peace and comfort will surround his immediate family. -
I’ll always remember the laughs we shared. To Samantha, I love you dearly. You and Keelan’s relationship is something I will always look up to and admire. It is such a gift to have witnessed even a part of your love story. It is rare and beautiful. -
Lifting you up. May Gods grace surround you. -
We only met him one time, but we were blown away by his dynamic personality, his big smile and such kindness. Every time we were with our best friends (Ken & Betty….grandparents) we wanted to hear the latest about Keelan. As a Pilot Trainer at the Sherman Airport, every time I heard his plane fly over our backyard, I tried to run out and wave and hollar “Hi Keelan”….. God needed someone very special so we know he had to pick Keelan. -
Hearts are feeling heavy in all. Sending deep condolences to Samantha and the rest of his family. My heart aches for you. -
I never had the pleasure of meeting Keelan. But I know how much Samantha loves him because it had always been palpable, when we were working together. The soulmate love stories our grandparents would tell us about. Keelan must have been a great man and now he’s with the Father in Heaven 💜 -
Our hearts are broken this has happened but God knew. Keelan has touched many lives and he will be deeply missed here on earth but one day we will see him again on the other side. Till then….. -
Keelan lived his life as a true servant doing God’s work on Earth. I send prayers of strength, love, and all the support I can give to this precious family. -
Keelan will be missed here on earth but the Lord and His Angels are rejoicing in heaven because Keelan came home to them. Sam, Kim, Betty, Kenny and the rest of your family our hearts are broken for you. We are so sorry for your loss but so glad Keelan loved the Lord as we all do.
