Billy Lynn Conner, 94, of Denison, Texas, passed away on June 16, 2026, in Denison.

Billy was born on February 2, 1932, in Perryton, Texas, to Clifford Dean Conner and Beatrice (Fulton) Conner. He grew up with a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for the land that would shape much of his life.

In 1950, he married the love of his life, Becky Tillerson, beginning a marriage that spanned more than seven decades. Together they built a loving family and shared a lifetime of memories.

Billy graduated from Texas Technological College in 1954. He spent most of his life as a dedicated rancher and farmer. Later, he served multiple terms as Justice of the Peace, where he was respected for his commitment to the community. He was also an avid fan of Texas Tech and enjoyed following the successes of his beloved Red Raiders throughout the years.

Billy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. His steady presence, strong values, and love for his family will be remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Conner of Denison, Texas; four children, Bill Conner of Burleson, Texas, Carol Phillips of Pampa, Texas, Beverly Layland of Pampa, Texas, and Sherry Cigich and husband, Barry, of Hallsville, Texas; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Judy Pletcher of Frankston, Texas.

Billy was preceded in death by his son, Charles Timothy Conner; his parents, Clifford Dean and Beatrice Conner; and two brothers, Jerry Conner and Pat Conner.

The family will cherish the many memories of Billy’s life, his dedication to family, and his enduring love for ranching, farming, and Texas Tech.

A celebration of Billy’s life will be held at a later date.
