George Edwards
George Edwards has been serving families with Turrentine Jackson Morrow Denison since 2022. He brings compassion, patience, and understanding to families during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Having experienced significant personal loss, George is able to truly connect with families and guide them with kindness, respect, and empathy as they honor their loved ones.
George has lived in the Pottsboro and Denison area for more than 30 years and values the close-knit nature of the community. He is a longtime member of Park Avenue Church of Christ, where his faith and community involvement continue to influence the way he serves others.
George entered funeral service later in life, beginning college at age 52 and earning his degree in Funeral Service at 54. His life experience, strong focus on learning, and attention to detail allow him to provide thoughtful, dignified care. He considers it a privilege to walk alongside families and takes great pride in ensuring every detail is handled with care.
George has been married for 35 years and is the proud father of two children and grandfather to four grandchildren. Before entering funeral service, he worked in construction and owned a remodeling business, developing a strong work ethic he carries into his work today. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, listening to a wide range of music, watching classic television such as MASH*, and keeping up with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
