Aletha Mae Cagle, 93, passed away on April 1, 2026. She was born on June 2, 1932, in Hill County, Texas, to Harvey and Pallie Williams.
Aletha lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service. She was a devoted member of Southside Baptist Church in Denison, where she faithfully served as a Sunday school teacher and class secretary. Her love for her church and her Lord was evident in the way she lived and cared for others.
She graduated from Hillsboro High School and went on to become a talented seamstress and an exceptional homemaker. Aletha took great pride in keeping an organized home and creating a warm, welcoming environment for her family. She found joy in genealogy, working jigsaw puzzles, and tending to her lawn and garden. In her quieter moments, she especially enjoyed watching John Wayne movies.
Aletha’s greatest love was her family, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Carter and husband Ronny; grandchildren Jill Ford and husband Steve, Jared Murrell and fiancée Amber Newsome, Candice Carter, and Cari Carter; and great-grandchildren Easton Ford, Brooklyn Ford, Trinity Ford, and Madelyn Murrell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, L.D. Cagle; and her siblings.
