Betty Jean Dickson, born on July 26, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on June 12, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of Felix and Olun (Ropar) Dorety.
Betty is survived by her four children: John Dickson and his wife Edna Grady, Betty Vick and her husband Stan, Wanda Garrett, and Debra Webb. She is also survived by her sister, Sue Martin, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, David Ray Dickson, her parents, and two siblings.
Betty had a passion for cooking and shopping, and she took immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren. She also had a love for fishing. Known for her caring nature, Betty was always there to take care of everyone around her.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 AM, Friday, June 21, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Denison Funeral Home, 631 W Woodard Street, Denison, Texas 75020. Betty's family and friends will deeply miss her loving presence and cherish the memories they shared with her.

Sure going to miss ur fried okra Mamaw! And the apple butter peanut butter sandwichs. And you brushing my hair at night until it dried , waking up with half my hair braided in little bitty micro braids!
Wish I had gotten to know my Aunt Betty better, but was thankful I knew her for the times we spent together with her and my cousins, love you so very much, Beth💞
I will always remember that Ms. Betty had a smile on her face and a quick wit. So much spirit! I don’t remember that she ever complained. She definitely left her mark on the world and will be missed❤️.
