Darrell Glenn Evans Jr.

Darrell Glenn Evans, Jr., age 50, passed away on February 21, 2026, in Denison, Texas.

Darrell was born on December 17, 1975, in Wichita Falls, Texas, at Sheppard Air Force Base. He was raised in Caddo, Oklahoma, and remained proud of his roots throughout his life.

Darrell was a faithful and dedicated employee of Lowe’s, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dependable nature. At 2:35 p.m. on February 21, 2026, Darrell took his final breath surrounded by his family and loved ones. He fought a courageous battle with cancer and, although he did not overcome the illness, he never gave up and faced his journey with strength and determination.

He was an amazing man with a great capacity for love and compassion. Darrell stepped up to become a father to two young children, raising them with love and respect, and later helped care for many foster children, always offering kind words and a caring heart. He found joy in the outdoors and loved trail riding, kayaking, shooting guns, racing RC cars, and teaching others, especially the younger generation, how to fish. He also had a special love for animals, especially his beloved dog, Peaches.

Darrell never claimed to be perfect, but he was always there when someone needed him. He will be remembered for his forgiving spirit, loving heart, and the time he cherished with family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held later this spring at Blue River, where family and friends will gather to share stories, love, and laughter.
