Kay Lewis
July 7, 1936 ~ January 3, 2026
Eleanor Kay Lewis, lovingly known as Kay, was born on July 7, 1936, in Denison, Texas, to Winfield and Imogene (Coonrod) Branham. She passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, in Texarkana, Texas.
On February 14, 1959, Kay married her high school sweetheart, Clifton Franklin Lewis, in Denison, Texas. As the devoted wife of a career military serviceman, Kay supported Clifton through his 23-year military career, during which they lived in many places and built lifelong friendships along the way. Wherever they called home, Kay was the heart of the household.
Kay is survived by her husband, Cliff Lewis; three children, Douglas Lewis and wife Tammie of Ashdown, Arkansas, Dale Lewis and wife Beverly of Tucson, Arizona, and Dawn Lewis Vinson and husband Eddie of Austin, Texas; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Bryce Branham of Irving, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Winfield and Imogene Branham.
A dual Celebration of Life service honoring Cliff and Kay Lewis will be held on Saturday, January 31st, at 10:00 a.m. at the Johnson-Moore Chapel in Pottsboro, Texas.
Following the service, interment will take place at 11:00 a.m. at Georgetown Cemetery.

I am saddened to hear of Kay’s passing from this life. The Branham family had a special place in my young life as I spent hours there playing with her brother, Bryce Kay was always so friendly then and in later years when I had the chance to see her and Franklin.
May the family sense God’s love in a special way during this time.
