Robin McCaig, born on March 30, 1953, in Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2024, in Denison, Texas. She was the daughter of Herman and Sonya Minnick.   Robin had a deep love for animals, a passion that defined much of her life. She cared for her Chihuahua, Cisco, and her Sheltie, Shelby, as family, and her kindness extended to all creatures. Robin was known for her generous heart, even setting aside much of her household food to feed the cows near her home.   On March 27, 1998, Robin married her soulmate, Dan McCaig, in Pottsboro, Texas. They shared a loving life together, rooted in compassion and warmth. Robin is survived by her husband, Dan McCaig of Pottsboro, Texas; her son, Shawn Smith; and two grandchildren, Derrick and Ethan Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Sonya Minnick, and her sister, Roxanne Stacey.   Robin’s spirit, kindness, and love of animals leave an enduring legacy in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who were touched by her gentle soul.
