Martha Jo Valentine, age 90, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, in Denison, Texas. She was born on June 5, 1935, in Dallas, Texas.
Martha was a wonderful person who was deeply loved by her family and all who knew her. She devoted her life to caring for her family and found joy in the simple things: especially watching QVC and enjoying sweets. She was a hardworking woman who spent part of her career working at Texas Instruments and later as a booker with an insurance agency.
She is survived by her son, Mark Valentine of Denison, Texas; her grandchildren, Michelle Valentine and husband Brandon Watson of Denison, Texas, Taylor Dancer and husband Kyle of Sherman, Texas, and Shawn Land and wife Angela of McKinney, Texas; her great-grandchildren, Braylen, Rhylan, Paxton, Emersyn, AnnaBelle, Cason, Jayce, and Jayden; her daughter-in-law, Patricia Valentine; and cousins, Don Valentine and Jane Merz.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 401 W. Woodard Street, Denison, Texas 75020. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Monday, December 29, 2025, at the funeral home.
Martha will be remembered for her loving heart, dedication to her family, and the quiet joys she cherished throughout her life.
