Patricia Mildred Winkler
With hearts full of love and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Patricia Mildred Winkler on May 29, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on June 23, 1930, in Sherman, Texas, to William and Jewel King. Patricia was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose life was marked by faith, family, and unwavering kindness.
Patricia was a long-time member of Ector Baptist Church, where she found joy in attending services and lifting her voice in song. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, a source of strength and peace that she shared generously with those around her.
She worked for many years as a seamstress at Morris Mattress Factory and later at Fisher Controls in Sherman, Texas. Patricia was known for her strong work ethic, quiet strength, and gentle demeanor.
Her greatest joy came from her family. She loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whether singing hymns, sharing stories, or simply enjoying their company. Her love and legacy will live on in each of them.
She is survived by her loving children: Son Ronnie Roth and wife Timmye, Daughter Shari Roth Johnston and husband Jim, Son Timothy Roth and wife Muma, Son Kevin Winkler and wife Shelly.
Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren and their spouses: Bret and Heather Bouher, Joey and Jennifer Roth, Tammy Browne, Sunni Houston, Amy and Jason Black, TJ and Kacey Johnston, Connor and Rachel Johnston, Nicholas and Lauren Roth, Simon Roth, Jessica and Christian Diaz Lugo, Nicole and Jordan Moffitt, Joseph Winkler, Brittny Trotter and TJ Baeza, Jonathan Geesling, Ryan Geesling and Autumn Lane.
Patricia was also blessed with an extensive and beloved group of great-grandchildren: Braeden, Brody, Bronson, Justin, Josh, Jessica, AJ, Jacob, Sterlin, Hailey, Nicolas, Talan, Maddux, Zoey, Emery, Juniper, Rowan, Caiden, Deklen, Jasper, Hendrix, Kamila, Koa, Kairo, Maui, Attley, Jameis, Rihver, Willow, Adynne, Langdon, Holdyn, Ava, Olivia, and Cora.
Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Lee Winkler; her parents; her brothers Kenneth King, John King, Ray King; and her sister Elizabeth Franks.
Her faith, warmth, and love for music and family touched all who knew her. Patricia will be remembered for her gentle spirit, radiant smile, and the unshakable love she offered so freely.
A church service to celebrate Patricia’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church, located at 3500 Park Ave, Denison, TX 75020. Interment will immediately follow the service at Cedar Cemetery in Luella, TX.
