Chris Dale McIntosh
November 22, 1960 ~ November 6, 2025
Chris Dale McIntosh, born November 22, 1960, in Everett, Washington, to Duncan McIntosh and Freda Triezenberg, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, in Dallas, Texas.
Chris grew up in Everett, Washington, and graduated from Everett High School in 1979. He continued his education at Everett Community College before proudly serving eight years in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, Chris began a long and dedicated career as an Air Traffic Controller with the FAA.
A man of strong faith, Chris was a devoted Christian who lived by his values and cared deeply for others.
In his free time, Chris enjoyed working on classic cars, building and creating with his hands, fishing, hunting, and lending a hand to friends and neighbors. He especially cherished his time spent on the porch, relaxing in his rocking chair with his faithful companion, Tanner, by his side. He also loved watching football on Sundays and enjoying backyard barbecues with family and friends.
Those who knew Chris often said that he didn’t just make friends—he made best friends. Each of them would claim, “I’m his best friend!”
Upon his retirement at an early age, Chris settled on Lake Texoma, where he lived near his boat and embraced a slower, simpler life. He spent his days fishing, tinkering in his shop, and enjoying the peaceful rhythm of the lake. Over the years, he became well known and well liked among the Preston Bend community, where his easygoing nature and friendly spirit left a lasting impression.
Not only was Chris a proud Air Force veteran, he was also a proud Texan—but above all, he was a proud father.
Chris is survived by his daughter, Nichole McIntosh; his son, Ryan McIntosh; Shelia Cowart, his former wife and the loving mother of his children; as well as his sister, Marsha Fisher, and nephew, Brandon Fisher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Duncan and Freda McIntosh.
Chris will be remembered for his generous heart, his loyalty, and his unwavering commitment to those he loved. His presence will be deeply missed, and his memory cherished by all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 22, at 1:00 p.m. at Preston Bend Cemetery, 98711 Preston Bend Road, Pottsboro, Texas 75076.

Chris was one of our best friends and a great neighbor. We loved seeing him in his rocking chair in front of his shop with his sweet pup, Tanner. We will miss his laugh and just knowing he was down the road if we wanted to visit. He was the cornerstone of our community at Texoma, literally and figuratively. He died way too soon and we will miss him! Love and prayers to his family.
Chris and Tanner beloved close friend; neighbor, and part of the famous breakfest club!
We enjoyed long talks, long evening rides around the neighborhood meeting our great neighbors, projects, dinners w family, sharing family stories! Yard work too!
Glad your sitting on my shoulder by friend!
Love ya!
