Denis Ray Baker
Denis Ray Baker, 68, passed away on June 18, 2026. He was born on December 10, 1957, in Denison, Texas, to Jessie and Bobbie Baker.
Denis spent his childhood in the Texoma area and graduated from Pottsboro High School. He dedicated much of his working life as a technician with Southwest Water Company, where he was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and dedication.
A passionate baseball fan, Denis rarely missed an opportunity to follow his beloved Texas Rangers. He also enjoyed scuba diving and treasured the adventures and experiences it brought him throughout the years. Above all, Denis loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews, who brought him great joy and pride.
Denis is survived by his brothers, Torey Baker, Mitchel Baker, and Jeff Baker; nephews, Nichlaus Prewitt, Weldon Prewitt, and Cody Baker; and niece, Jessica Payne; and his great-nieces Annika, Sidney, Shayne, Sarah, and Scarlett; and great-nephew Silas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Bobbie Baker; and his sisters, Deborah Payne and Sonja Stanley.
Denis will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love of family, and the many friendships he built throughout his life. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

I worked with Denis at SouthWest Water for probably 12 years until he retired. I enjoyed working with him and he was a wealth of information regarding the water industry and the area we covered. He was always positive and we had alot of laughs too. My condolences to the Baker family.
