Denison - Joe C. Shelton, 86, of Denison died Tuesday, September 25, 2012 in Bonham.
Graveside services were held 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2012 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Pastor Tom Patzer officiated.
Joe was born the son of Tom C. and Martha J. Terrell Shelton on April 10, 1926 in Denison. He graduated from Denison High School and Draughon's Business College. He married Dorothy Cleo Kincade on May 28, 1946 in Denison. She preceded him in death on June 4, 1970.
Joe retired as front office manager for Safeway Grocery Store and served in the United States Army during World War II.

He is survived by his son, Larry D. Shelton and his wife, Sylvia of Denison; granddaughter, Jackie Lee Manning and her husband, Norman of Denison and great-granddaughter, Shelby Lena Shelton of Denison.
