MSGT Kenneth E. Paulsen, USAF, Ret., 85 of Denison passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham.
He was born on November 19, 1929 at Dow City, Iowa to August John Sr. and Irene Amanda Grell Paulsen. He married Marion Annette “Ann” Williams on August 25, 1961 in Bonham. She preceded him in death on October 1, 2009. Mr. Paulsen graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant. He was an instructor for the United Sates Air Force for many years in the altitude chamber. He served as chaplain for many of the organizations he was a member of such as the VFW, Elks Lodge, and Eagles. He was also active in the Marine Corps League / Toys for Tots. He served in the Army Air Corps before retiring from the US Air Force in 1969.
Graveside memorial services will be held 2:00 PM on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Fairview Cemetery with full military honors conducted by Sheppard Air Force Base Honor Guard. Chaplain of the Marine Corps League, Terry Dyer will be officiating.
Survivors include his sons, Scott L. Paulsen and his wife, Shirlene of Denison, James Edward Paulsen and his wife, Tamara of Phoenix, AZ, and Cris Clayton Paulsen of Denison; daughters, Cynthia Franks of Desoto, and Tambri Kalstabaken of Denison; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ann; two sisters, Janice Workhoven and Delores Edwards; and one brother, August J. Paulsen Jr. (Whitey).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Marine Corps League / Toys for Tots, 2355 FM 406, Denison, TX 75020.
